Harbor of Events ran Alex's Italian-themed 30th birthday for more than 40 guests — a "la dolce vita" mood, current music, a DJ, a host and a bar, Italian catering, and a flexible plan B in case the weather turned. The party took place on 2 May at a country house.

The brief

On 2 May the Harbor of Events team ran the 30th birthday of our client Alex — a day built around an easy Italian mood and genuine moments among more than 40 guests.

Alex's brief was short but demanding: current music, a "la dolce vita" atmosphere and, without fail, a cake carrying exactly 30 candles. We paired an Italian look with the feel of unhurried enjoyment.

The setting

The venue was a handsome country house — a light-filled space with refined detailing and a sense of comfort that suited the theme.

We built the "Italian evening" format around relaxed conversation and attentive service: we held the venue with a flexible plan should the weather change, and brought in a DJ, a professional host and a bartender.

Décor and atmosphere

We kept the décor light with Mediterranean touches: textiles and table settings in whites and beiges, fresh flowers and greenery, and soft lighting that added warmth and a festive feel at any time of day.

Music, host and bar

The party opened with welcome cocktails and easy conversation. The DJ set the tone with current hits and Italian classics, the host held the room with light interludes and toasts, and the bartender served signature cocktails.

For quieter moments we set up a lounge with coffee and desserts. The high point of the evening was the ceremonial arrival of the cake with its exactly 30 candles.

The Italian menu and the grill

The food stayed true to the Italian theme: bruschetta, cheeses, prosciutto and olives, main courses cooked on the grill right there on site, and a dessert station with signature sweets.

The wet-weather plan B

Unsettled spring weather did not disrupt the party: the team moved the celebration indoors without fuss, keeping every guest comfortable and at ease.

The event was a case of full trust in our team — with the freedom to adapt the running order quickly and without dropping the standard.
