A helicopter marriage proposal in Warsaw

On 25 July 2026, a couple from Kraków arrived in Warsaw — she believed it was a work trip for her boyfriend. In fact, about four months earlier he had asked Harbor to plan a surprise proposal. When their transfer drove onto the aerodrome, she saw a minimal white setting in front of a helicopter. After her “yes”, red smoke rose into the sky, and then the couple set off on a private helicopter flight.

Four months before the proposal

The client contacted Harbor about four months before the proposal date. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend in a way that would come as a genuine surprise.

That lead time made it possible to develop an individual concept and scenario without rushing, coordinate every element — transfer, décor, photo and video, the flight — and build a sequence that kept the surprise intact until the very last minute.

A work trip from Kraków to Warsaw

The couple lives in Kraków. For her, the trip to Warsaw had an ordinary explanation: her boyfriend had supposedly been invited there for work.

She had no idea that the road would lead them to an aerodrome, or that a proposal was being prepared that day.

A transfer that wasn’t heading to a meeting

A VIP transfer in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class picked the couple up from their hotel.

The surprise became clear when the car drove onto the aerodrome: she saw the prepared décor in front of the helicopter and realised something special was happening.

Minimalism instead of a big installation

The styling was deliberately minimal. Delicate white-toned flowers stood in cylindrical glass vases, some arrangements were raised on white rectangular plinths, and many candles in glass holders were placed around them.

The idea was a restrained, elegant setting that wouldn’t pull attention away from what mattered most — the couple, the moment and the helicopter behind the décor.

A “yes” and red smoke

In the prepared space beside the helicopter, he proposed. She said yes.

Straight afterwards, a red smoke effect rose into the sky — a vivid accent against the understated white décor.

A private flight for two

The proposal itself took place on the ground, before the flight. After the photo session, the couple boarded the helicopter — just the two of them and the pilot.

The private flight lasted about 25 minutes.

Photos, video and the way back

Harbor arranged a professional photographer and videographer. The first photo session took place right after the proposal, and the second after the flight.

A VIP transfer then took the couple back to their hotel. Every stage — from the scenario and décor to the return journey — was coordinated by Harbor.
